so an even cleaner model could be made by just using his voice in general instead of restricting yourself to the rio movies

Yes and No.

The rio films do have some singing data that could be used alongside the general voice allowing for the model to be good at both talking and singing.

Its also worth noting certain mannerisms of the characters can be kept if only using the performance in a movie.

Which is why I decided to go for only the movies.
